8-10Fresh Mint Leaves (muddled)

How to make a Mint Julep
Add ¾ oz Simple Syrup to a julep tin or rocks, then 8-10 Fresh Mint Leaves, and muddle gently — enough to release the oils from the mint and dissolve the sugar, not enough to shred the leaves.
Fill with crushed ice and add 2½ oz Bourbon.
Stir vigorously for 15–20 seconds, until the outside of the vessel frosts. Pack with more crushed ice, mounding it over the top.
