Blue Blazer

A thrown cocktail made with Overproof Scotch, Boiling Water, Sugar, served in an irish coffee mug or heatproof glass.

Ingredients

• 2½ ozOverproof Scotch (ignited)
• 2½ ozBoiling Water
• 1 tspSugar
• GarnishLemon Peel

How to make a Blue Blazer

1. Combine 2½ oz Overproof Scotch (ignited), 2½ oz Boiling Water, 1 tsp Sugar in the first of two warmed, handled mugs.
2. Ignite the mixture, then pour the blazing stream back and forth between the mugs four or five times, widening the arc as you go — done well it reads as one unbroken ribbon of fire.
3. Serve in an irish coffee mug or heatproof glass.
4. Garnish with lemon peel.
