Brandy Old Fashioned

Ingredients

• 1Maraschino Cherry (muddled)
• 2 ozBrandy
• ¼ ozFresh Lemon Juice
• ½ ozDemerara Syrup
• 1Orange Slice (muddled)
• 2 dashesAngostura Bitters
• 1 ozSoda Water
• GarnishMaraschino Cherry

How to make a Brandy Old Fashioned

1. Add ½ oz Demerara Syrup, 2 dashes Angostura Bitters to a rocks glass, then 1 Maraschino Cherry, 1 Orange Slice, and muddle firmly, until the sugar has dissolved and the fruit has given up its juice and oils.
2. Fill with crushed ice and add 2 oz Brandy, ¼ oz Fresh Lemon Juice, 1 oz Soda Water.
3. Stir gently, without knocking out the carbonation. Top with more crushed ice.
4. Garnish with maraschino cherry.
